Z-BELL TESTING             ESTROGEN CHANGES IN CORNEAL TEAR FILM

Neuro-Developmental Optometric Research:

In addition to eyesight, the eyes are connected to many other neurological and biochemical pathways. Dr. A.M. Skeffington began his seminal work over seventy five years ago, correctly hypothesizing that the eye was part of the human body. He had empirical evidence, but no direct proof. Since neuroimaging has been available, all of his theories are being proven true. At the Mind-Eye Connection, we're taking both his work, and that of Dr. Albert A. Sutton (one of Dr. Skeffington's proteges) to a new dimension of vision care.

Current projects at the moment include:

  • Build A Brain
A new site for international discussions and updates on the newest ground-breaking research in optometry's new dimension -- the linkage between eyes and ears.

  • Z-Bell Testing
Using eyeglasses to alter sensory integration, affecting auditory skills

  • Estrogen Changes in the Corneal Tear Film
Changing the level of tears on the eye affects auditory skills
